Then He said to his disciples, ‘the
harvest  is plentiful, but the laborers are few…’

Volunteering at the Christian Interpreter Conference:

Volunteer Interpreting at CIC

The CIC is committed to ensuring an accessible environment for all attendees: Deaf, hearing, DeafBlind, novices, and experienced professionals. We are seeking both Deaf and hearing Christian brothers and sisters who would give a portion of their time at the conference to ensure access for fellow attendees during our packed schedule of events!

We are grateful for your consideration to serve our community with your time and talents, and will be offering a registration discount - or refund - based on the number of hours in interpreting service.  (We are unable to offer monetary compensation beyond discount/refund.)

This application will gather the necessary information for us to begin screening and placing interested interpreters. A follow-up request for interpreting samples may follow before a confirmed invitation to serve on the Access Team at CIC26.  Please complete all sections of this form for consideration, and reach out with any questions!

Volunteer Interpreter Application

Student Ambassador at CIC

Student Ambassadors serve as volunteer conference staff. They get hands-on, behind-the-scenes experience working with set-up, registration, speaker support, CEU documentation, production support, hospitality/customer service, clean-up, move-out, and more. Ambassadors will interact with conference guests, presenters, and Sonshine staff.

They will get a close-up look at the interpreting profession, Deaf ministry, and event management.

Ambassadors attend the conference, but have limited control of their schedule. Those chosen will receive free registration, lodging for four nights and meals while onsite.
